How many do you think they’ll sell (limited to 150) ?
And how many of these will the average buyer purchase (2? 4? 8?)?
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to have such a set up, but...

Couldn’t I get, say, 2 actual DB9’s or maybe 3 Db7’s for the same price? Maybe a V8 or v12 vantage?
I know that’s not the point.

Why does everyone hate the rich? Is it just jealousy? Should we assume all those with wealth, even those who started with nothing, are awful? What’s the wealth cutoff that makes someone rich?
I bet if I worked harder I could earn more money. Does that somehow not hold true for other people? Is that the problem?

Real question: What is the cutoff for taxing the rich? Why does success mean you are a bad person in this country? I t used to be an aspirational country. People would aspire to things and then work hard to achieve them. Now we just have a bunch of people who claim the rich to be too rich.

The only two things actually worth anything there are the wheel/pedal box setup (that wheel from Precision Sim Engineering is the closest one can get to a true working 2010s F1 wheel — and it’s also modeled in this asset mod for Assetto Corsa ) and the Samsung G9 Odyssey monitor. The rest? Chuck it.

LOL. That’s not a real question, not when you inject “bad person” into the discussion. That’s a painfully weak strawman style retort.
After 40 years of trickle down lies and nonsense, now we just have economic mobility that trails most similarly developed countries and an ever-decaying quality of life compared to those same areas.

No hate. But things have gotten severely out of whack in some countries.
With how wealthy some countries are, almost
no one should go hungry or be homeless in their cities
. And in the U.S., what used to be a strong blue-collar middle class is shrinking year-by-year. Half our our nation now pays no taxes (because they make so little), and half pay it all. Sets up conflict between the “haves” and the “have-nots”. I don’t begrudge anyone their wealth, whether they earned it or inherited it, but for the people who are going to buy this $74k toy, I think they could probably afford to chip in a little more to make things better for “the least of these”.
There are clearly lots of good-hearted
wealthy people who are often very generous with their giving, and that’s great. No idea what the wealth cutoff is for “rich”, but clearly it varies from place to place. I think the “normal” rich are probably taxed about right (the folks that have, over the course of their career
s, saved up a million or three and are now living comfortably), but the ultra-rich, who make most of their yearly income outside of normal wages and for whom $100k is just a drop in the bucket, clearly need to be taxed at a higher level.

I don’t blame you for being a bit naive because I too was blissfully unaware of how wealth works in contemporary America before I went to college, but it is really quite dismal when you consider the abject and overwhelming wealth of the top 50 people in this country against the inescapable poverty facing something like 50% of this country.
I am lucky enough to have lived without ever being affected by the systemic economic issues of modern-day capitalism. However, I have friends who cram five-person families into two bedroom apartments yet work seven days a week (all of them) . They are first-generation Korean immigrants in the restaurant business and it wouldn’t be fair to say that they should try to go into something more profitable as the parents are already well into their 50s while all the kids concurrently attend college . Besides, if everyone left the restaurant business, who would feed the tech workers?
The most important thing is for there to be a safety net so that it isn’t incumbent on the individual to live at the very edges of their capability. If one of them got sick and had to stop working, they would very easily probably have to move in with family or otherwise not afford rent and go homeless. There just isn’t room to fuck up or even account for economic depressions, and that s eems completely unfair. We’re all human, we all make mistakes; just because I had the liberty of being born to American tech worker parents doesn’t mean I deserve an easier life than my friend whose parents who do far more grueling work.
Many countries that are poorer than ours can afford to give people like her family subsidized rent, food security , and adequate public transportation. As it is, their Toyota Sienna sits out on the street, parked up because it needs some expensive repair they can’t afford yet. I just don’t see what they could do differently to live any better, and considering they at least own their own business there are many, many people who are worse off than they are. Jeff Bezos doesn’t think there’s any other way to spend his fortune than on space travel, yet just half a second of his income would put that Sienna back on the road. It’s really preposterous.

I understand economics. I understand wealth distribution and the inherent ills it brings. I’ve lived it .

What, i9 and 2080ti (or 3000 series) too rich for a $74k rig?
